The VA Engage Journal for Student Scholarship is a publication where Virginia college students and recent graduates reflect critically on their community/civic engagement experiences. The journal is now seeking submissions for Volume 11. Submissions could range from a well-received class project to a compelling paper.
VAEJ authors report that their publication experience increased their confidence as an emerging scholar. One recent author said: “I really feel that I grew as a writer, researcher, and critical thinker throughout the process. I was so excited to see the publication of my paper, along with those of the other student authors.”
Do not hesitate to reach out to the editor of the journal, Steve Grande (email@example.com), if you have questions.
Campus Compact is now accepting nominations for the 2024-2025 Newman Civic Fellowship, a yearlong program that recognizes and supports outstanding community-committed students at Campus Compact member institutions.
The fellowship is a yearlong opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to nurture their assets and passions, engage in collaborative action, and act to address inequality and polarization. Through the fellowship, Campus Compact provides in-person and virtual learning opportunities focused on building the skills fellows need to serve as effective agents of change.
