Students wishing to be apart of our Engaged Summer Program must:
- Be in good academic standing with George Mason University
- Commit to working with their partner site during the 10 weeks of the summer program from May 25th – July 24th
- Commit to 25 - 30 hours of service at their partner site
- Commit to attending bi-weekly meetings of the Engaged Summer Fellows program and completing any writing reflections or activities of the program
- Interview with at least one community partner. Interviews will be held on Thursday, April 16th and Friday, April 17th
- Attend the Engaged Summer Orientation on Wednesday May 25th - time TBA
Our Engaged Summer Program application process:
- Review the Partner Projects Listing and note your favorites.
- Complete the Engaged Summer Fellows Application by Friday, April 3rd at 11:59pm (Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis)
- All students invited to participate in interviews will be notified by April 8th and sent a link to sign up for a virtual interviews on April 16th or 17th.
- Finalists will be notified of their site placements by April 20th.
