Make Hygiene Kits for Disabled Veterans
The Disabled Veterans National Foundation (DVNF) provides critically needed support to disabled and at-risk veterans who leave the military wounded—physically or psychologically—after defending our safety and our freedom. The Disabled Veterans National Foundation (DVNF) is looking for volunteers to give back to the Veteran Community and assemble hygiene kits to distribute across the country!
These hygiene kits are called Comfort Kits and they provide vital necessities such as health and hygiene items, clothing, and more to veterans of all walks of life. The contents of our Comfort Kits typically include quality and full-sized items such as shampoo/conditioner, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, razors, deodorant, a t-shirt, a pair of socks, sunscreen, Band-Aids, etc.
DVNF has also recently created our own signature Women’s Comfort Kits for our too often overlooked female veterans. Our Women’s Comfort Kits always include feminine hygiene items which can be very difficult and expensive for low-income women to obtain.
The Health and Comfort program takes the most manpower. Without volunteers, it’s impossible for a small nonprofit to serve our Veterans as optimally as we can. We can only do it with the help of individuals willing to give their time to this worthy cause.

Full STEAM Ahead: Volunteer for a Theater Robotics STEAM Camp
The Creative And Performing Arts Center (CAPAC) provides underrepresented youth and adults with educational opportunities in theater and in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines to promote problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership skills.
CAPAC’s camp is designed to support Prince William County middle and high school students to spark STEAM interest. Campers will engage in activities led by PWCS educators and STEAM role models increasing the likelihood of CAPAC campers will develop into creative innovators. Daily campers will be bused from designated schools to arrive at the Hylton Performing Arts Center @ 9:00 am and line up to depart the Hylton Center @ 2:45 pm for 3:00 pm bus departure. This year we’re striving to host fifty (50) PWC middle school campers and eight (8) PWC high school CAPAC STEAM Ambassadors.
Volunteer Position Opportunities:
