Nationally, Hope For The Warriors provides comprehensive support programs for service members, veterans, and military families that are focused on transition, health and wellness, peer engagement, and connections to community resources.
Mission: The National Military Family Association is the leading nonprofit dedicated to serving the families who stand behind the uniform. Since 1969, NMFA has worked to strengthen and protect millions of families through its advocacy and programs. They provide spouse scholarships, camps for military kids, and retreats for families reconnecting after deployment and for the families of the wounded, ill, or injured. NMFA serves the families of the currently serving, veteran, retired, wounded or fallen members of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, Commissioned Corps of the USPHS and NOAA, and Space Force. Mission: We give our most vulnerable veterans the personal support and attention they need to access essential services and resources not otherwise attainable. These veterans are the elderly, disabled, health-challenged, and the underserved who struggle with understanding where to look, how to apply, and then receive services/resources. We comprehensively assess and case manage through our diverse network of local service providers who support: Urgent Needs, Healthcare, Family & Caregiver Support, Legal, Transportation, Finance and lastly Fitness/Arts/Recreation because improved quality of life is our goal. We are a coalition of community leaders, change agents, and donors focused on the shared mission of caring for and honoring our most vulnerable veterans. Together we serve veterans and families throughout Virginia providing services and ongoing support. We are a rally point for veterans/military/family and support volunteers who team up and provide for our most vulnerable veterans. We are more than a team of individuals, we are family who share this essential mission and vision.

Mission: ServingTogether, a program of EveryMind, and in partnership with AmericaServes, launched the National Capital Region’s first coordinated network of vetted public, private and nonprofit organizations serving veterans, service members and their families in late 2017. ServingTogether builds provider capacity for our many partner organizations providing person-centered Peer Navigation support, community education and collaborative networking opportunities. ServingTogether’s Peer Navigators offers service members, veterans and their families access to a class-leading continuum of providers that runs the gamut from superior mental health, housing, and emergency service providers to employment, financial capabilities, education, volunteering, recreation, and fitness, and more! ServingTogether uses technology, its partner networks, and its experienced staff of professionals to guide veterans, service members, and their families to the most appropriate services and resources available with a singular intake.
