Engage!

Engage! is a series of events that aim to tackle a complex social problem through education, community engagement, and action.

Each year, the Office of Community Engagement and Civic Learning chooses a social issue that greatly impacts the campus and community. This year, we chose to focus on Food Insecurity.

In the fall semester, we hosted a round table discussion and panel to learn more about the issue and hear from local community agencies and experts.

Our spring program will look closer at the impact on food insecurity on George Mason's campus.

Join the Office of Community Engagement and Civic Learning in an educational walk to "Take Steps to End Campus Hunger"!

Participants will start in SUB1 and travel across campus to learn more about food insecurity on our campus and others. At the end, there will be steps to take action towards making change.

We encourage participants to bring in non-perishable food items to donate to the Patriot Pantry (to be dropped off at the start in SUB 1). You can find a list of needs for the pantry on their website.
