VA Engage Meeting 2018

VA Engage Meeting 2018

The VA Engage Network builds the capacity of Virginia colleges and universities to prepare students for lives of engaged citizenship and to mobilize community-campus partnerships that strengthen communities. Each year, VA Engage hosts a Fall Meeting which allows faculty and staff to convene and collaborate on community engagement initiatives across campuses. Free to attend, this day-event is held at different volunteer institutions each year, allowing participants to experience diverse campuses across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Registration is now closed.

Topics covered in sessions at past meetings include:

         Living-Learning Communities

         University-Community Partnerships

Engagement Structures Developed out of an Institution’s Core Mission

Using Technology to Collect Community Engagement Data

This year, we are excited to host this meeting here at George Mason University! We will be including folks from across Mason to participate and potentially also present or share your own best practices or initiatives that have been successful. This is an excellent opportunity to share the good work that is happening across campus and beyond. Please save the date for the VA Engage Fall Meeting happening on October 19th 2018!

More information to come at a later date with information about presentation proposals, lodging and registration. For now, please mark your calendars and save the date for what should be a wonderful event! Feel free to check out the VA Engage website for more information about this meeting and previous years as well:
