AVT 496: Mixed Media Book

Visit Santiago and experience the roots of Cuba Son known today as “Salsa”. Travel to Camaguey, Cuba's 3rd largest city, and learn the works of famous authors from as far back as the 17th century while discussing current literary works with local artisans and authors. See centuries old architecture and record you impressions through Mixed Media Book techniques like Tetra-Hexa Flexagon, Ox-Plow Book, Accordion Book and several other techniques.
Course cost is $2,495.00 and includes tuition, round trip airfare from Miami, ground transportation to Santiago and Camaguey, lodging and some meals and art materials.
Space is limited! To reserve a spot in this course complete the appropriate forms and return to FS. A $500 non-refundable deposit can be paid either by personal check (made payable to "George Mason University") or cash to the Center for Field Studies office at 433 Enterprise Hall.
