Tuesday, May 1, 2018 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
We are a coalition of student organizations here at Mason working to put on an event at Mason on International Labor Day/May Day (May 1th). This event will involve representatives from local unions setting up tables in North Plaza and speaking to students about the importance of work-place democracy.
Students in your department strive to ensure that what they learn at Mason does not stay at Mason. Thus, our event will allow students to directly engage with the local community. By doing so, students will be able to learn what problems workers face and how labor organizers are working to address said problems.
A description of the event can be found bellow.
