Off-Campus Location, AIDS Walk Washington will begin and end at Freedom Plaza (Pennsylvania Avenue and 13th Street, NW).
On Saturday, October 25th, the Mason Community will come together to support individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. The Walk to End HIV has become a Mason tradition, with students, faculty and staff participating for over twenty years! This is a great opportunity to meet new people, or just walk with old friends, while helping a great cause.
It is estimated that 1 in every 20 adults in DC are infected with HIV…become educated and get tested. "Yes, we've still got a ways to go till its over. But we can see the finish line."

Just register at www.aidswalkwashington.org and be sure to search for the Mason team on the registration site located under Schools- Colleges/University and join us. If you are more of a runner than a walker, you can register for the 5K timed run.
Transportation is easy, as Parking and Transportation Services is sponsoring Mason to Metro shuttles running every half hour from 6-8 AM on the morning of the walk/run. All participants will receive a free t-shirt! Be sure to come out and support individuals affected by HIV/AIDS! We won’t stop until AIDS is history!
